In City, it is called Metropolitan Magistrate Court while in the rural it is called Judicial Magistrate Court. Otherwise, both Magistrate Courts have same powers under the Cr.P.C. provision.
Similarly in the City, it is Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, who is the Chief of all the Metropolitan Magistrate Courts within that City limit. Whereas, the Chief Judicial Magistrate is the Chief of all the Judicial Magistrate Courts operates within the boundaries of his reach. Both have same powers, otherwise, both Courts powers are superior to that of the Magistrate Courts.
Whereas the Sessions Court consist of Assistant and Additional and they are in accordance with the assigned powers of the Courts subordinates to the Principal Sessions Court in the City Civil Court and in rural areas to the Principal Sessions Judge in District Court.
The High Court is the supreme judicial authority of the State which supervises and manages the justice delivery system of all the Courts functioning in the State.
Whereas Supreme Court is the highest Court in the Country and it manages and supervises the entire judiciary of the Country.
