WHAT DOES CHARGESHEET OR FINAL POLICE COMPLAINT CONTAIN?

The Chargesheet consist of;

  1. A detailed report on Crime committed by the Accused and how the investigation was carried out and concluded. The list of Witnesses and how they relate to the Crime and what would they explain in the Court about the incident and such similar things.
  2. FIR
  3. Complaint made by the Defacto Complainant
  4. 161 Statements – given to the Police by all the Witnesses arrayed by the Police in the Chargesheet
  5. Observation Magazar – A hand-written sketch, which shows precisely the place of crime occurrence – indicating houses, shops, streets, lights and such similar things – which would give an idea of the surroundings when the crime was commissioned at the scene.
  6. Seizure Magazar – It contain details of the properties recovered [involved in the commission of crime] by the Police while at the time of investigation.
  7. Medical / Forensic Report – If the case is of serious nature wherein the medical report of the victim is submitted. Should the victim is dead then the Forensic Report is submitted – solely depends on the case.
