Finally the day has come to the Advocates to present their arguments physically in the Court Halls! The Madras High Court in its Administrative Committee meeting held today has decided to resume physical courts in a limited way.

Three division benches in the morning session and another three benches post lunch will function from September 7 onwards in the Principal Seat. Otherwise, the remaining Courts in the Principal Seat would conduct virtual courts as usual.

While the Madurai Bench will function with two division benches for half a day and the remaining day the Courts will conduct proceeding through video conferencing.

The Committee in its Communication has observed that it took decision to conduct physical courts as demand for its resumption is growing. Otherwise, the Committee considering pandemic and to avoid overcrowding in the Court premises arrived at a decision to go gradually.
