This is a story of an accused who is wanted in couple of cases in our Country! In fact, until recently, he was going through the phases of investigations and Trial in our land! And after a few months, we have come to know that the accused was no more an accused but he became the President of an Island. Although the accused now literally proclaiming himself in the social media that he is God – not the President or Prime Minister of his Sovereign Island Nation that he had declared of late.

He claims to have had set up his island nation legally, registered with the United Nations and so on…And, on the Ganesh Chaturthi, he came out with his country’s currency and we were informed by him in YouTube that he had documented fiscal management policy of his island nation which runs into 300 pages.

• What did the investigating agency do so far in apprehending this accused? Nobody knows!
• How did he [accused] escape our 130+ crore populated country [porous borders] to a no man’s island is anybody’s guess?
• Where were the money come from? Who had paid the money to him to buy an island? How did he manage to park his ill-gotten wealth in the island?
• Who were all those corrupt politicians and authorities by passed the laws and helped him in all those meticulously planned escape and survival?     

What are all these reflects in the minds of a common man?

Influential are committing crimes in a broad day light, yet, for them everything is possible – to run out of this Country from the long arm of the investigating agencies! How all these happens? In fact every one of us know? Where does the Law of this land stands in preventing this type of accused from escaping with their dishonestly accrued wealth? We have laws in written to answer all of our queries raised above but as long as we have [unapologetically] weak enforcement agencies influenced by corrupt political systems we won’t be having India that was dreamt of by our founding fathers.
