WITHDRAWAL OF DA BY UNION GOVERNMENT – A REVIEW

According to me, the Central Government was wrong in withdrawing DA.

The Government has thus failed to understand DA was counterproductive to inflation and a booster to demand and supply chain of the markets! DA is calculated on the basis of salary structure of the employees or the pensioners for that sake.

So the point is DA is not a bonus but part of the salary and worked out on inflationary trend with a purpose to ease the employees’ sufferings over price rise in economy. DA only reflects the ongoing price hikes of essential households and withdrawing it in any way is infringement of rights over the livelihood of the employee or even a breach of contractual obligation between the employer and employee.

While the concept of DA is on the agreed terms of countering inflationary pressure on the livings and the Government being a welfare state it is the one who propounded the theory of DA and it should not abdicate the rights of its employees  by terminating it or deferring it for certain period.

By the way, the Government shouldn’t announce its deferment just like that, it must pass law or ordinance and then act on it.

Otherwise, I am against of Government’s move, because it again failed to understand that granting DA only boost our economy at this distressed time. Because until people have that extra money there is no chances of increasing their purchasing power.
